This class is designed to introduce students to Ashtanga in a safe supportive way. Ashtanga is a classical choreographed form of yoga. Classes will begin with sun salutations and standing postures and close with breathing exercises preparing for savasana (relaxation pose). Modifications and challenges appropriate for each student are available. The repetitive nature of this style helps students build a home practice. You will produce internal heat and purifying sweat that will detoxify muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, flexibility, stamina, a strong body and calm mind.
