Core Actions of Yoga: Sensitivity, Opposition, and the 6 Degrees of Freedom
Students will learn the actions that one must take in posture practice to support, align and create space in the joints, so that the body and mind are one felt relationship, anchored in sensation that invites freedom and creativity.
We are looking forward to you joining us for this Workshop!
Day one will explore the Core Actions of Yoga through the classical definitions of Asana, Drushti and Bandha. Students will integrate what has been learned through experiential exercises and discussion in circle.
Day two will expand upon what has been learned in Day One by offering the six degrees of freedom available to each joint. Students will learn to integrate shifting, titling, rotating and spiraling into Asana to foster creativity and develop joint mobility.
