Chamisa Wheeler has been dancing since the age of three. She began her Professional Contemporary Dance career with the Aspen Dance Company as a summer intern at 15 years of age. Over the course of 18 years she taught for numerous Arts and Education Programs, to low income, inner city youth and adults across the U.S, specializing in Dance Therapy Techniques and World dance, including Traditional West African Dance and Drumming. Highlights of her career include dancing with Baba Chuck Davis, a lifelong mentor since she was 15, and dancing on stage with Grammy award singer Angelique Kidjo and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
